I met Ann and Dave in 1984 at an Open Evening at BT Martlesham where my daughter was about to take up an apprenticeship and their son Richard was also. The first thing struck me about Ann was her smile and friendly attitude.  Jane was a member of Deben Swimming Club and Richard at Ipswich so we met up on several occasions but as time passed I did still meet her but not so regularly and she was always the same smiling and happy person. Jane kept in touch over the years as she became friendly with Michelle. She was always interested in Oliver and Charlie (Jane’s sons) and I know Jane is upset at not seeing Ann again.
