We first met Ann and Dave about forty years ago, through competitive swimming we all spent many years officiating and socializing my overall impression of Ann was she was always supportive the perfect lady and never had a bad word to say about anyone. Our lives both had tragedies in them and I hope Ann felt we gave her as much support at these times as she and Dave gave us. The last time I saw Ann was a very happy time, Dave and Ann came to stay with me in New Zealand and like now it was hot and sunny, we travelled around locally and my recurring memory is of us sitting under the flowering Pohutuakawa tree on the grass on the beach looking at Whaiheke Island across the sea. Dave we love you and our love for Ann will never die and I am sure she is resting in peace. x
